Bohigas Xarel


The Penedes region in northeastern Spain, south of Barcelona, is mainly known for its sparkling wines, or Cava, made from indigenous grape varietals. The Bohigas family has been growing grapes in this area since the 1200s and have a perfect site for the Xarel-lo grape from which this wine which is made. With slightly higher altitudes than most cava producers, the vineyards of Bohigas experience cooler temperatures, imparting beautiful freshness to the wines.
